About Us

ViewNet is a two year research project co-funded by the Technology Strategy Board. It is a collaborative research project led by 3C Research and comprising the University of Bristol, Toshiba Research Europe, Sepura, Ordnance Survey, ST Microelectronics, Thales Research and Technology, National Physical Laboratory, TRW Conekt, Comsine and the Home Office Scientific Development Branch.

The objective of ViewNet is to develop a technical demonstrator system that shows a networked group of operatives mapping the inside of a building using simultaneous localisation and mapping techniques.
